The Williams Companies, Inc.

The Williams Companies, Inc., along with its various subsidiaries, functions as a prominent energy infrastructure provider, with its primary focus across the United States. The company structures its business operations through four distinct segments: Transmission & Gulf of Mexico, Northeast Gathering & Processing (G&P), West, and Gas & NGL Marketing Services. The Transmission & Gulf of Mexico division encompasses key natural gas pipelines such as Transco and Northwest. It also handles natural gas collection and initial refinement, manages assets dedicated to handling and transporting crude oil output in the Gulf Coast area, and oversees a variety of pipelines for petrochemical products and feedstocks. The Northeast G&P segment undertakes midstream activities, including gathering, processing, and fractionation, within the Marcellus Shale formations, predominantly in Pennsylvania and New York, and across the Utica Shale region of eastern Ohio. The West segment focuses on gas collection, processing, and treatment operations across numerous significant production areas. These include the Rocky Mountains (spanning Colorado and Wyoming), the Barnett Shale play in north-central Texas, the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas, the Haynesville Shale in northwest Louisiana, and the broader Mid-Continent region, which incorporates the Anadarko, Arkoma, and Permian basins. Furthermore, this segment manages natural gas liquid (NGL) fractionation and storage sites situated in central Kansas, near Conway. Within the Gas & NGL Marketing Services segment, the company offers wholesale natural gas marketing, trading, storage, and transport services. These cater to natural gas utilities, municipal entities, power generation companies, and producers. This division also provides risk and asset management solutions, alongside its NGL marketing support. The company boasts an extensive infrastructure network, including some 30,000 miles of pipelines, 29 gas processing plants, 7 NGL fractionation units, and storage capacity for around 23 million barrels of natural gas liquids.
